Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu, born on November 23, 1981, is a prominent figure in Indian cinema and television, primarily known for his contributions to Telugu cinema. His journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age, with a brief stint as a child artist in the 1985 film “Ragile Gundelu.” However, it was his lead role in the 2003 Telugu action film “Vishnu” that catapulted him into the limelight, earning him the prestigious Filmfare Best Male Debut award. Beyond his acting career, Vishnu is deeply involved in various ventures. He co-owns the film production house 24 Frames Factory and is actively engaged in education through the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, founded by his father, the esteemed Telugu actor Mohan Babu. Vishnu also serves as the founder and chairman of the New York Academy, a school in Hyderabad, where his wife, Viranica, serves as the director, and his father, Mohan Babu, holds the position of chairperson. Furthermore, Vishnu holds key leadership roles in educational institutions such as Spring Board Academy and Spring Board International Preschools, with over 75 branches across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. Additionally, he serves as the pro-chancellor for the prestigious Mohan Babu University in Tirupati, established in 2022 by his father. In 2007, Vishnu’s career reached new heights with the success of the comedy film “Dhee,” which solidified his position in Telugu cinema. He further extends his influence by sponsoring the Celebrity Cricket League Telugu Warriors, showcasing his passion for both sports and entertainment. Recently, Vishnu’s contributions to the industry were recognized when he was elected as the president of the Movie Artists Association, further cementing his role as a respected figure within the Telugu film fraternity.
